Reviews

The Review system is a little bit different from what you’re used to. We believe it’s not fair giving a grade to a video game based on how “good it is”, since there’s no real way to determine this. First, we give a summary of what the game is about, the game play, story, music, etc. Then, from a scale of 1 to 5 (5 being the highest), we give a grade to the following categories with a short explanation about why we gave it.

Difficulty: How hard is this game? Is it for everyone, or is there a deep learning curve for more hardcore players?
Variableness: Is the game repetitive, or does it offer new experiences every once in a while?
Multiplayer (only if available): How good is the multiplayer? Is it better than single player? Does it have online multiplayer, and is it good?
Replayability: How desirable is it to play the game again? Are there any extras to do after you finish the game that makes you keep on playing?
Fun: Is the game considered to be “fun” by the reviewer?

Play Time: How much of your time does this game require? Is it a long RPG, an endless puzzle game, or a simple fighting game? This category states the average amount of time to finish the game, and the time it would take to finish it with all of the extras.
Who should play it?: This one doesn’t recieve a grade, but rather a suggestion of who should play this game. Hardcore gamers? Casual gamers? Everyone else?

Please understand, that while we try to give these grades stripped from bias, they’re not perfect. Everyone has their own opinions, even without bias. What we try to do is adjust them to the “general” public, to fit hardcore and casual gamers alike. It’s not something easy to do, so please correct us if you think we’re wrong. Remember, we accept and embrace all kinds of criticism.
